On Ted Kennedy

Someone needs to write a book on Ted Kennedy. I think he's my personal hero. He's done more for this country and the state of Massachusetts than any other Kennedy, yet, historians neglect his role in comparison. Not to say his brothers weren't great, they were. But you don't need to be a Martyr to be a hero. Ted Kennedy has always been my hero, especially since he was my late Grandma's hero. She use to say Ted Kennedy was the last standing example of what it really means to be Liberal. I agree. Sure, maybe the guy doesn't have a perfect track record, but his political record is all the matters to me- and that's pretty near perfect. He has always fought for the little guy, like me. He's like the Grandfather and Protector of Massachusetts. He makes me proud. In fact, thinking of Ted Kennedy makes my chest swell with pride. He's my Senator.

At the end of the day, I hope Ted Kennedy understands how much the people of Massachusetts love him. He's our hero. I know he's gotten a lot of attention since becoming sick, but he's always been at the center of my political spectrum- sick or not. And sick or not, Ted Kennedy has always fought on behalf of sick people everywhere. So lets cheer Ted on. Lets tell him how great he is- how he is a hero to all of us Sick people everywhere.

Please wish Ted Kennedy well
.
